New paint and custom turf to go with

Special thanks to Derik (waveblaster069) for the paint job. Actually more than that, he put in alot of time in finnish work and prep work getting this thing ready. Then came the paint and glitter!!! The pics don't do it justice. When the sun hits thish thing it looks like the ruby slippers!! BLING on top of BLING!!

I finished the turf this afternoon. I wanted to do a star on the rear platform, and Derik sugested the nautical (SoCal) star. Overall I'm pretty happy with the results of the star. Wasn't as difficult as I thought it would be. Hope it holds up.

Haha, up here they call it the NorCal Star. Funny, some kids up here swear that star officially means Norcal..even some real smart ones going into tattoo shops asking for a "norcal star". :haha:


That thing look sweet!! I love the glitter...and that turf and rails looks awsome, and i really do like the star, thats pretty sweet. You cut it out by hand?

Its a nautical star, which I believe is about 4,000 years old. I believe NorCal and SoCal really cannot claim this symbol. Yeah, cut it by hand with a straight edge ruler. I really like the look, I think I will do something similar when I re-truf the FX1.

If you glued it good it should hold up. My SJ has a maltese cross in the tray that held up all year. You dont really put a whole lot of wear on that section of your turf anyways.
