Surfriding New Jersey LBI Surf Ride

What a freaking AWESOME day! shawn_NJ and I went out riding last Friday. He let me ride both of his really really nice ski's. Both skis ripped like no other.....

His Rickter is the nicest ski I have ever and probably will see.

Now my stock Superjet seems really really slow :sad2:


There wasn't much surf, but it was still a blast. I dont have a ton of "skill" editing video, but I gave it my best shot.

Nice editing on the vid! Sucks the ocean was LAKE FLAT last fri, but we still had fun. Yesterday it was waist to chest high on set.

Was going to be coming down this Sat because the surf forcasts looked really good. But got shafted and looks like I have to go into work sat. 50/50 I might come sunday if surf holds up (and I get out of work earlier then 2am). After 6 or so flat water rides, I am fiending to get the Rickter into some waves!

I am fiending for some waves too.... we haven't had crap. My buddies were just down in AC this last weekend and spotted one of the vans in the FX mafia at brigantine. Said the surf looked pretty good.

We gotta get down there one weekend for a ride.

Shawn you live on LBI? I grew up there every summer, going there 4th of july and the whole week after. Considering bring my surf SJ down if I got someone to ride with. If anyone wants to get a ride in anytime that week/weekend I am game! Nice vid, unusual to see LBI so flat though.

No dont live on LBI, but I'm not that far. Any other weekend besides the 4th, I'd def come but dont feel like dealing with the holiday traffic. I might be able to pull off a Friday july 8th ride, if you want to ride there. Ya it was unusual for LBI to be that FLAT. Even oceanside it was glassy like a lake.

I could do Friday or possible that saturday. I agree, I am staying off the water on the holiday weekend but we rented a house from the 2nd to the 9th. If we can pull off a ride, get a bunch of people together for either day, I will bring my ski.

Lets see how the surf looks as it gets closer for Fri the 8th. Regardless there is normally people riding on the weekend @ out of the BL ramp. I'd bring my ski for sure if I were you. I'll be on the water more north @ my house for sure the 4th weekend. Just have no interest in dealing with the GS parkway...LOL!

Looking to ride Friday leave by 2pm or Saturday but would have to leave by 2:30pm Saturday....hmmmmmm

I can probably do Brig this Friday. Would get there early and ride all day. Hosting a work BBQ party @ my place Saturday.... so unfortunatley Sat out for me.

If weather sucks Fri, might head there Sunday. I NEED to ride some surf!
