New here... So here's my project

Hey all,

I'm a new guy here and this is a perfect way to overcome my probationary 5 posts... Figured it'd be better then making arbitrary posts relic discussions.

Ive been riding for about 5 years and, as it becomes more apparent, am generally oblivious when it comes to the sport. I rode a 550sx that was given to me for years R.I.P and eventually bought a modded 750 SX.

I primarily ride on the Ottawa River and from what I can see am 1 of the 3 in my channel. Normally I build up project cars as a hobby in the winter but am putting that on hold as I'm expecting the birth of my first.... In the interim it's a perfect time to fix up the 750.

Blew it apart last weekend:

Did a quick pole on my IG for a new livery, winner:

Got bored today and thought maybe I should make some poles as mine are obliterated...sketch:

Anyways...hoping to get more involved with this community!

Excuse the picture rotations...that's beyond my ability ATM

That pole drawing is sick. Are you going with Yamaha or Kawasaki steering on it?
Thanks, I figured Kawasaki as that's what I got on hand.... Ive noticed some poles with steering on top, is that a Yamaha configuration? ... Lol excuse my ignorance I've only ever ridden kawi as that's what seems to be in my area

That is the yamaha configuration, some kawis convert over it seems but they keep the cable mount on the left, yamaha runs it on the right.

I dont think it much matters, especially if you are trying to do it on the cheap.

That's what I figured. Like you said keeping it on the cheap is going to push the kawi set up but I it did cross my mind.

Welcome to the X. We used to have a pretty lively thread on here for GTA (Greater Toronto Area) Jetpilots but Id died last year. I put up another thread to keep people in the loop. If you're interested in coming down this way for some jetski freerides let us know

http://www.x-h2o.com/index.php?threads/gta-jet-pilots-revival-thread.193790/

We have a decent FB groups as well for guys in the area

Ski looks great but you're running outta time if you're just starting now. The water will open up soon. Whats your plans other than the wrap/paint job? Keep posting pictures to show some progress

Thanks for the info Mike, I'll check you guys out on FB.... unfortunately I agree that im running out of time, just got around to it last week or so. Should be quick though, basically correct the neglect... It's a strong ski just looks pretty rough, paint, turf... Few new fuel lines and cable's....seems like poles as well.
