I'm 47. Never had sinus trouble other than cold/flu....ever.
Over the last week or so, my face hurt...it would come and go. The last 2 days were brutal!
I could take it no more. Went to "Doc-in-a-Box"...(Solantic)...Thought I might be having an aneurysm or something..lol.
It hurt bad over my brow thru the bridge of my nose. Maybe I'm a wuss when it comes to pain...but a sledge hammer to the face seemed like a good idea.

Anyway, it's a sinus infection. Doc prescribed some antibiotics along with some otc stuff, including nasal spray. We were discussing nasal sprays, neti pots, etc... and he mentioned "good ways of getting the saline up in there".
Saline? I asked. That's what nasal sprays are...mostly.

Then I thought..."Self, ya know how the snot runs outta your nose like Niagra Falls for the first 30 minutes when you're in the ocean?"

I have not ridden my ski since new years day. Maybe if I weren't such a wuss about the cold......

Anyway, those with sinus trouble....you have my sympathy!

Welcome to my hell. And yes, salt water does the trick.

Edit: (salt water works assuming you don't pick up some nasty infection from the water)

I have been congested bad for two weeks also...what's in this Florida air ?

For me it's the up and down weather. One day it's 45, the next day it's 80. My head doesn't know what to do.

I have my own barometer of oncoming headaches. When my GPS falls of my windshield, I know I'll have a sinus headache that day. GPS falls off whenever the weather changes.

3 years since my Sinus Surgery, best thing I ever did!!!!!!!

Pick you up a Neilmed Sinus rinse kit. I use it when I feel stoped up.. It really helps to prevent sinus infections. If you have green gloop coming out, start flushing 2x a day.

I use mine almost daily. It is uncomfortable to use, but well worth it. I almost always use it before a run or bike ride, I can breath so much better.
