Im gonna pick up the stock tomorrow at a friends metal shop. When I have them cut the 2" stock going into the receiver I want to only do it once, so ski is about 24" wide right, then i need to add space between ski and bumper then the amount going into the receiver. I guess width of steel holding bunks doesnt matter much. The more I think it may just be a guess and test project, but give me your dimensions anyways if ya got em.

Mine is 30.5 inches from the end that goes into the hitch to the end of the rear bunk. It is a tad bit long though. I would like it if the ski sat a little closer to the truck.

Ill try this again. I typed a bunch of stuff last night but the internet went down before I posted it up.

My 2 inch stock is 30 inches long. Which gives enough room for a trailer to clear the ski. There is less than an inch when you slide the class one receiver all the way into the 2 inch stock.

And the stabilizers are covered in 2 inch PVC so the ski is only 2 inches off of the rear bumper on an Avalanche. The bumper touches on one side and the ski on the other.

Here is a picture.

so how far should should I measure for the bunks, 14"? Im gonna get 30" of 2" stock then a few feet of angle iron 2" on each side, maybe some rebar or something like it to go from the end of each side angling down to the receiver bar.

The center of the rails should be (for a superjet) is 12 1/4" center to center. That is where mine are and the 3 inch pipe fits perfectly. I just hope this hauler works on my new SXR

For $275 shipped, you cannot go wrong.

A couple of us use these down here, and I love the one I have! :cheer:

That is a great price. I spent almost $250 in metal when I built mine.
