Custom/Hybrid need some TL help MSD Pro Series 4270 single coil / pick up

Everything appears to work fine EXCEPT it backfires 3 out of for times when I turn power on to the brain.

Basically it sparks as soon as you turn the power on just about every time. this ignights any little fuel left in the cylinder and cause a backfire, sometimes its pretty visious. I thought the neighbors were going to come out returning fire last night.

Is this a fault in the brain? Is there a way to correct this issue? I can see the rare occasion that TL would fire if the magnet just happen to be near the pick up but that cannot be the case every time or even 50% of the time. This motor has WELL over 200 compression so the pistons should be damn near level with eachother when the motor is shut of via the switch I would think just from the left over compression and posittive preasure RIGHT?

Any and all help appreciated.

if it sparks it would backfire too correct? It would be ignighting out of time and if there were the slightest bit of fuel it would backfire quite a bit?

Most of the systems I have would create a little spark when turning them on or even hitting the stop button repeatedly but it almost never causes an issue unless there is excess fuel in the cylinder. You might want to a) double check your timing and b) verify that your carbs aren't leaking.

Have you actually confirmed the plugs firing with them laying on the head? Does it do it only when the lanyard is plugged in or when it's not connected as well?

Only when the lanyard is plugged in and yes I checked the spark while hitting the switch and plugs on the head. I am runing a module that allows the start stop switch to act as the power switch to the TL as well.

Is that the digital single channel or the analog?

The analog will fire anytime the pickup is near the magnet when you turn it on. I don't have any experience with the digital single channel, but the dual channel digital has setting in the dip switch that require a few trigger pulses before the MSD starts actually sparking (this is the kick start versus electric start option).
