Other Need some prayers.....

My father has always been the greatest influence in my life and he has been diagnosed with lung cancer a couple days ago. He is going for a biopsy on Wednesday and I am praying for the best for him. I cant post for help on facebook because my parents are the silent type that keep everything private but they are clueless to this site, so I am asking for prayers here so I dont have to let them know my concern for him in public. He is my world and my hero and I really dont know what I will do without him. So please send a prayer his way to help his biopsy go good.

His name is John Protonentis Sr. I know its cliche but he really is one of the greatest people in the world. He would do anything for anyone, and my whole 36 years on this earth, this is the only time I have seen fear in his eyes and it is devastating.

Ron, You are in our prayers. Think Positive. Have your dad think positive. Anita's dad was diagnosed with Prostate cancer 2 months ago. They were lucky, removed prostate and everything is ok. Positive vibes coming from the X.

i didnt have a father growing up but your relationship with him sounds like my mother and i. i would take a bullet for her any day!. i dont know you personally nor do i think we have ever spoken but my heart goes out to you and your father.

Thank you everyone for the prayers and well wishes. It is greatly appreciated and helps. Tomorrow is his first visit to Sloan Ketterin so hopefully we will have a better idea of what is going on after that.

Quick update. Biopsy was postponed due to a spot on the liver. Now we have to wait for a PET scan on wednesday and another mri. If the spot on the liver is cancer, they said they will not do the biopsy, only chemo.
