Hey everyone, new to the forum and looking at jet skis and wanted some opinions. My buddy and I are looking to go in on a pair of 96 Superjets we found on craigslist. Wanted to see what the experts thought. 2 identical 96 superjets on an aluminum trailer with a beach dolly.

Sweet deal you got there. Id be on my way to pick them up. The trailer is probable worth $800 plus and $2500 or so each for the skis plus dolly... Im no expert but GO GET EM!!!

If I were closer, I would steal them from under you.
LOL. Were going to check out the skis tomorrow. If all looks good Ill be going home with them. I just moved to a part of town that has two lakes within 20 min drive. Plus the climate allows year round riding. I was gonna get a quad but this seems like a better venture. Thanks for the advice.

bad idea to post links of good deals... people will buy that right out from under you in no time... just post a pic of the ski w/o the location and stuff..

x2 !!

yes this is a good deal, those SJ are easy worth 2500 each in running condition...

by the way if you buy it and want to get rid of that dolly, let me know ! ill buy it from you

A little update. Went to check put the skis two nights ago. Battery's were dead on both skis so we didnt get to hear them run. Every thing else looked good tho. Headed back this weekend to pick them up once he gets them running, anything I should look for other than obvious wear and tear? Thanks, Matt

Check compression.

Bring a flashlight to look at the pump but honestly, at those prices, the engines could be seized and I'd still drive way over there to steal them from your sorry ass.

There are a bunch of good posts on what to look for when buying used skis. I would bring cash with you and see if he'll take a little less. Stick 40 $100 bills under his nose and see if he'll bite--but bring the entire asking price just in case he won't.

Yeah I plan on working the deal with a fat stack of cash. I put a deposit down so Im not worried about anyone stealing the deal. Oh yeah, both skis have pipes, jet kits blige pumps and stiffer pole springs. One also has an MSD ignition and footholds.

Matt, I don't even know you and now I hate you.

Welcome to some great skis. I hope their foam is flooded.

Don't worry, though, it is.
