Need opinions for winter build

I've been trying to think of everything I want to do to my ski this winter.

Here is my goal: A reliable, versitile, reinforced freeride/rec boat with great low end power.

Motor Now: Stock 62t w/ limited B pipe

Motor Ideas: Ada girdled head, lightened stock flywheel or lightweight charging flywheel (like a tbm), msd enhancer

Hull now: Stock, not reinforced, has footholds

Hull ideas: #.0 Tubbies, fully reinforced tray, hull and pole bracket area. I would really like a lowered hood and nose piece, but that might be way too expensive. I would possibly chop up my hood with the help of a buddy to lower it.

For steering, I have a shortened, carbon wrapped -4 stock rn pole with 0 degree umi bars. I intend to keep it that way...

Now I would like your criticisms, opinoins, etc. on my ideas. Am I missing anything? Are there certain things that should take precendent over others? Should I forget all of it and buy an fx-1? Let me know what you think.

Keep in mind I'm a recent college grad in the middle of a recession. This won't be a budget build, but it won't be a limitless one either.

Thanks in advance,
Dave

I am assuming you already have a prop and intake grate?
Are you going to paint it? If you are, I would buy a hood kit now. If not, you can always do that later. I would send my cylinders out for porting before spending money on MSD or flywheel, but that's just me.

Yes, i do plan on painting it. Problem is, I don't have the cash for a lowered hood and nose piece at the moment. Can you recommend a place for porting that isn't super pricey? Also does porting affect reliability? I wouldn't think it would...but I haven't really looked into it that much. I just know they smooth out the intake and exhaust ports for better flow.
