How much space is there between the outside of your prop and the inside of the pump? There shouldn't be much more than .030, if it is that or more than should be your problem, if i was to guess.
I dont think there is that much at all, in fact it touches a little against the pump wall. However, there is some play in the shaft itself, i can move it back and forth a little where that clamp connects to crank, is that normal?
Well, i guess i don't know what to say about your cavitation problem. But both my SX and X2 have slop between the shaft and the prop. There both all stock with milled head though.
Plenty of ideas, too rich or too lean on the high speed, or the white plastic check valve on top of the gas tank may be blown out causing the gas tank to not pressurize. therefore there is no restriction on the fuel return line from the carborator (the fuel returns to quickly to the tank) causing a lean bog. Those are my experiences.
What size carb do you have on your 650sx i have a 44sbn, if the same wondering what you have it set to. Also, on your 650 did you cut down those hoses coming off the roof of the hood or did you just leave them, they seem to get in the way of my cooling and fuel lines alot.
crank seals , have you still got that silly pull thing that lets the s..t run out the crank case, if thats shot you crank case will loose its seal, and cause bogging
Yea that pull is still connected to the crank, i guess i never thought it would go bad, Stator should be good i bought the engine from a guy off the x and he said everything worked fine. However, i never opened the flywheel cover to check.
Im thinking that its more drive shaft related bc my rpms are fine, it wont hook up it seems like. When i start it on the trailer it runs perfect in the water not so much.
