Super Jet Need help Please....starter wont stop

On a 94 stock super jet, parked it 2 weeks ago and every thing was fine, went to start it the other day and the battery was dead and would not take a charge. we installed a new battery positive cable first then ground. when tounching the ground to the battery the ski tries to start it self even with the lanyard disconnected. we un pluged the start/stop switch and it still tries to start it self. Kinda lost here and we are trying to head to river in a few hours...........Help Please!!!

stater relay stuck open

only thing you could do is open ebox and give the relay a couple taps with something solid and try and get it unstuck from the open circuit position

So it just keeps cranking when you push the start button, even with out a laynard? I say if it starts then ride it. Set your ideal low so it will kill when you need it to stop. If your in a rush

Gonna open up the ebox, tapping on the back side did nothing. Mademan I'm in SoCal

he will not be able to ride it if the stater keeps spinning without destroying bendix.....sounds like starter relay problem to me

yeah unit is trying to start without pushing start button right...starter is just turning over as soon as u hook up ground cable right?.....unhook stop/start button connector as well

Ok heres the deal. I guess the last owner didnt close up the ebox very well and it had a bunch of water in it. The relay is toast and I need to replace one battery terminal. Off to find a relay!!!

All fixed!! Replaced the relay and she good to go!! Thanks for the help
