Need help mounting throttle cable to carb

Recently bought a Mikuni 44 to upgrade my 38 that wasn't giving me power on the bottom end. I have an 86 650 motor modded into a 85 550 hull (bought it like this). Having trouble mounting a bracket to hold the throttle body so that when I give the ski gas it has something to grab against. I've posted photos, can post videos if necessary. In 2 photos I've circled potential mounting points to go off of. First photo shows the original carb and throttle cable mounted. Second circled photo shows the bracket that the engine is mounted to to fit the smaller ski.. possibly another potential mounting point?

What do you guys recommend? Never done anything like this so I'm having trouble where to go with it.

You have a couple options. You can get a throttle cable mount bracket and cable from a 750 ss sit down ski and mount it to the front right motor mount bolt, or you can rotate the cable attachment point on the carb 180 degrees to make it a pull up instead of pull down carb. Then you make or buy a bracket that bolts to the 2 holes just above the fuel pump section of the carb. The holes are there they just need to be threaded for a 6mm bolt. The miounts are fairly easy to make if you make it out of aluminum. Use a piece about 3 1/2 to 4 inches long and about 3/4 wide. Drill 2 holes to line up with the holes in the carb and then drill another for the cable to mount through on the end. Lock it in a vice with the cable attachment end sticking out towards you. Use a pair of vice grips to bend it counterclockwise 45 degrees and walla! you have a cable mount. You can use a little heat to make it bend easier but I've done it without
