Super Jet Need help from pro tec pipe owners

So I was putting my SN back together today finishing off my winter rebuild. When I discovered somehow my midpipe was gone. Me and my dad searched for three hours and never found it. I called pro tec and since its the old style polished stainless expansion chamber I cannot get a new mid pipe. So if after a couple of weeks I still cannot find it i'm gonna build one. Unless someone has one to sell with the rubber coupler for dirt cheap i'm gonna build a new mid pipe. I have a PSI header so a stock midpipe will not work. ( I think ). So can someone take pics of their mid pipe for me? I need someone to take some pics of theirs with the water line fittings and stuff so I can plan building a new one. I already have the flange to bolt it to the header from when I got leak test blanks made at work.

I have the stainless chamber for my sn too. It's at my engine builders house right now to get work done on it, but when I go over there the next time, I'll snap a bunch of pics.

When you say mid pipe I'm assuming you are talking about the manifold part of the pipe.. I have heard that the stock Yamaha one does work but I'm sure it's not quite as good.

How did you manage to lose it, lol?

I lost the mid pipe. The 180 degree shaped part. After the header before the expansion chamber. With all the machines (race quads, sleds, 4x4s, side by sides ect) that came and went through the garage this winter plus and the drinks we had its possible it just got tossed in the garbage with some one not realizing I needed it.

View attachment 243627 I had the older style SS expansion chamber mounted to the newer style mid pipe and it fit just fine on my SN.

I think this is how they all are if I'm not mistaken. Because this pipe is the same thing as the "Mach 1" exhaust system you can buy from protec now, but just has the stainless chamber instead of cast. Almost seems like protec went in reverse technology-wise switching to a cast chamber. Now you can get the Mach-1 with adjustable water screws like the factory pipe head pipe too. To the OP: I would say, call protec and ask if you can get a new mid pipe if you decide you don't wanna make your own. Still curious to see how you are gonna do that.

Anyone else have 2" added to the chamber? Mine does and when I first rode it, it made me very very happy I didn't spend $700+ on a b pipe. I've never ridden the non modified stainless chamber either, though.

Thanks for the replies. Does anyone know if a stock mid pipe will bolt upto my pro tec pipe and psi header. If not just gonna buy a complet stock exhuast. There's enough of them around for dirt cheap.

Correct ^ a stock mid pipe will not work as the flange and mounting holes are different. On there website it shows seperate parts avail for purchase. Call Carl Brown, When i was looking for my gaskets for my older REV pipe last fall...he sent me a catalog as well as a printed inventory list of items no longer in the current catalog.. there where a few "A" body manifolds available.. 6m6 61x and 62t . i remember that they were like 40% off or something like that...

Thanks for all the help. I talked to pro tec and the mid pipes are differnet from the old style to the new style. They do not have any of the old mid pipes left. So I guess i'm getting a whole pipe if I don't find my old mid pipe.

Still could use some pics of a mid pipe. Got a wanted ad looking for a complete stock pipe not having any luck. Spoke with pro tec today. All though it's on the website they stopped making superjet pipes. So most likely it will be the cheapest to build a new mid pipe. I'm also in Canada so it will be quite expensive to ship. Some pics of the water jacket locations would be greatly appreciated.
