need help finding tiny hood latch screw.

I may have lost the little hood latch screw when swapping latches at the beach. anyone know where to get another one?

boltdepot.com if all else fails. Guaranteed its metric and not a size home depot will have. If nobody knows the size or has a spare remind me and I'll pull one and measure it.

i'll take a pic of mine for you tonight. i've lost/broken plenty of both those sissy girly screws and those latches too, hence all the spare latches/hooks i brought with me this weekend... been there bro..

that's from landing 3/4 rolls in the surf.. stock hood latch assemblys can't hang when punished properly by real men.

Yeah I've destroyed several myself too so I usually have spare pieces. And per Jerry's advice, I keep a ratchet in my tool box that I can hook up to one of my hood straps as needed. I just can't seem to commit to it 100% until I run out of spare latches...

I never thought about running a bolt through but good idea :cool2:

Behold! The only hood latch you'll ever need.

I have a stock hood latch.....it's just for looks, seriously, it does nothing. When I destroyed Ross' square nose...I had NO hood latch, only this same ratchet strap setup.

Now, mine is ugly and ghetto, but functional, and that's all I really care about. Plus, if you don't have a bolt running through the handle pole bracket, you need to secure it differently up front.

I'll be honest, I'm lazy, so my stuff is ghetto.....ask Mike Serlin to post pictures of his setup. It's very clean looking. He is running dual stainless steel ratchet straps. He moved the hooks and mounted the straps with stainless bolts and washers through the hull.
