Ive been looking for a sxi pro for a while now, and I think I found one. Through a friend of a friend he was selling an '02 with a brand new trailer for $4200. The ski has been out less that 15 times he says he bought it new in "03 compressions it great, engine clean as could be, although he was a freestyle guy there are a few scratches on the hull nothing major though, he races dirtbikes and is trying to buy a new 250 becasue he knows a good friend of mine he said i could have it for $3000 would I be getting ripped off or is that an ok deal? I have the money and he does like like 5 mins away from me, I just wanna make sure Im not getting hosed!

Do it twice?That's DooDoo
seems fair... if he has a few aftermarket upgrades on it I would offer him $2800. If it is all stock then offer him $2500. Try to work him down a little. Make sure you see the compression test in person before you fork over the cash.

Just so you know- you can prob find a 2002 superjet stock or maybe even with a couple goodies on it for around that much... :)

But it looks like you are a kawi guy....

You could buy an SXR 800 for that much money. There is no way in hell I would give 4200 for a 750sxi.

Get a superjet or an sxr, or you will regret it

Kennay, the ski is for $3000, not $4200.

But otherwise, I agree asolutely. Don't get the older model for the same money as a newer one.

His ski is only worth $3000 with the trailer. Is it a good deal for you? No. It's just selling it for what it's worth. Them telling you they're knocking it down $1200 for a friend is crap.

Would I buy it? No, I'd get an SX-R for that coin. If you get it for $2500 with the trailer, no one here is going to beat you up about it.

We know skis and we know their values. We talk skis all day, every day.

If you're stuck on Kawis and have about $3k to spend, I would look for an SXR. They can be found for that price. A friend of mine bought one last summer for 3k or so.

Ollie Rastabean lives in St. Pete and I think he's selling his sxi pro. I can talk to him if you'd like me to get a price on it. He switched to an SJ and is about to by a second SJ for his wife.

HAHA well thanks for the advice you know ive never rode a 750 although i have rode an sxr and i loved it i just didn't know i could get one for that cheap. never been on a sj before either a friend just got one but ive yet to ride it. the whole time I've been looking at an sxr but like i said i didn't realize i could get one that cheap. im used to 440's so anything with more low end is fun for me haha

well darn, now im really confused i got the cash and all i really want is a reliable ski that i can take out and jump a little bit, something to get my big 200 pound ass up with haha. I think I would like an sj i mean their are smaller than a sxr right? basically i don't want a fricken cadiliac i want something fun and maneuverable, with some good low end.

you can find a stock sj sn around 1500 then you would have plenty of money for goody's,a sn is cool to it doesnt have to be a roundy.

i owned a 750sxi and a sj. and the sj is far better once it is has a few goddies on it pipe head and prop or just prop and b pipe. the 750sxi is super fast but if your payying full kbb then its dumb get the 750sx if its a steal of a deal if he has to sell it and take a hit. the sj is a great ski and will sell for the kbb the sxi is going to be hard. imo sxr is nice also for lakes its cool i rode one with a few mods and it makes you look good. easy to do turns and stuff kinda hard to jump but practice makes perfect. id sat lake sxr ocean sj. imo. sj guy.

My brother was a Kawi guy to the core. He rode every freakin flavor of Kawi standup from the beginning of time.

When I sold my SXIPro and bought the SJ, he told me I was an idiot, and that I would regret it.

He rode my SJ this summer. That is all it took. He has seen the light, and is looking into the '08 SJs now.

Edit: I'd take an SXR as a nice second, well umm, third..nope..as a decent 4th backup ski for sure!

If you want to stay with Kawasaki i would get the SXR. But since you ride a 440 the SXR would is a boat in comparison. The super jet is more responsive.
If you are planning on flat out speed go with the SXR if you want to freestyle the go with the SJ.

96+ SuperJets are all the same until 2008.

I got rid of both of my round nose SuperJets and am now riding two SX-Rs.
