NBC "Explore Hawaii"

Got a msg from a friend

David, It was this past Saturday morning (maybe Sunday, but really recently) and it was on NBC and I think it might have been called "Explore Hawaii". It was a show just showing travelers all there is to do in Hawaii and everything that is cool there. They introduced freestyle jetskiing, interviewed the guys, showed some footage, and talked about how Hawaii is the best place for freestyle jetskiing.
You might be able to find it on NBC archives or something, hope that helps!

Hawaii is like the worst place for freestyle due to the regulations, at least around Oahu it is.

Kaneohe was the one place I never rode, we always hit Hawaii Kai or Hickam AFB since we never got hassled there.

that is funny because i am in hawaii right now . we are ridding everyday and no problemn . on maui . just stay away from the shore 3000 feet and away from surfers and wind guys and most people are cool about it . i think if it werent for shipping and lack of dealers here it would maybe get bigger .

How far away from shore do you have to stay? When I was there (Oahu) I thought that the surf looked incredible and the water is always great.

1/2 mile offshore? What are you freestyling on rollers, or is there a sand bar that far out?

THERE IS reef out and around all over that is where we are . plus if there is noone around such as residences or beach with activity you can get in there as well . its the same as the mainland really they just like you a little less here because of all the natural powered sports . you also do tow in here so there are some exceptions to the rule just dont bother other people and they wont bother you .

Oahu is way different, highly regulated close to shore.
