Name + Number printing on jersey

one of my best friends that raced with me passed away a little over 2 weeks ago. i decided to run his number in memory of him this year. going through decal works for pre printed backgrounds for my bike. BUT...where do i find places to print my jersey for me? ive seen iron on stuff before on the net, dont think its too durable. do i go to the local screen printer? any input helps

Sorry to hear about your friend.......... the best way to honor a friend is to always remember......... My wife's best friends husband got electricuted a few years ago. He was very close to us...... everytime we see a rainbow we think of him.

The Best is Decal Works, but the MSR iron on kits do look ok,The are the pro font and last. I think one kit does 2 jerseys. I used to take my kits and jerseys to the local sports shop and have them iron them on with their big flat iron.

I dont race, so I dont know for sure, but I'm gonna ask any way.

Isn't your "number" mandated by your AMA member number? you cant just use someone elses. how are you going to run your friends number? the idea sounds great, but I dont think you can do that. I could be wrong though.

I'm just wonderin'...

district 16 (wisconsin and u.p.) has had in the past years you register for a number on a first come first serve idea. they changed it up this year and as i understand it comes down to the track you race at. easiest way to think of it is if theres a double at the track one of the guys may be the number and the other is the same number but with an X.
