Myrtle Beach riding - activities????

Looks like I'll be in Myrtle Beach this summer for 4-5 days. I am looking for decent area to ride in the surf (if possible). I am willing to travel an hour north or south. Any suggestions?

What other activities are there in Myrtle Beach (I live near the beach so the beach itself is NBD to me)?

Just give me a shout before you come down. I'm having some motor work done at the moment but we can ride in quite a few places here.

I know it is probably a bit early to plan anything (I won't be out until July). I was just trying to get an idea if there are good places to ski and possibly some other things to do with the family.
My daughter has a dance competition which means the girls will be busy for 4 days non-stop.

kennay..while on the subject,About a dozen of the wave junkies are planning to come down to the myrtle beach race.We are hoping Mike will provide a ride zone this yr and are talking with him about it,but if it doesnt work out,where can we put in and go ride? We would wana ride most the day and just stop in on the ride when the freestyle comp takes place if we dont have a zone?
