The whole event was awsome! Mike Young & the entire Surf & Turf crew put on a first class event. I will go as far as saynig it's one of the very best surf events I have attended in recent memory.

As part of the event, Mike set up a freestyle surf expo at the Pavilion on Fri & Sat mornings. We had good surf both mornings. The second morning had about a thousand spectators........ what a rush to preform in front of!


I feel the need to elaborate on the collision between Pete & Ratti
First off , In the sport we love, we take risks everyday, some times you win & some times you loose. Pete & Ratti are 2 of the sports hottest young guns. Both push the limits to the max. The way both were riding Sat was a true inspiration to all up & coming riders. I was on the water at the time of the collision. Both guys were pushing for the crowd. as course to rolls, there is a big side drift & with the angles both riders took. they were destined to collide. There is no one at fault. Both riders acted as professional as they could. Sometimes Sh*t happens. On the bright side, Both went on to compete the same day against each other. Rattis boat took the Brunt of the collision. But both riders walked away uninjured.
Boats can be fixed.............. sometimes things like this happen!
