The SJ hull I bought had foam put in it, shaped and carbon fiber laid over it. Pretty slick looking. Easy to clean!

On my x2, I taped off the rear 'slants' and foamed them. Then I shaped it and put several layers of cloth & matting over it for strength. I made it angle up at the back, but you could make it straight also.

one-way valve

Install done, all that is needs to be done is cosmetic work (bondo and glass:banghead: ) and finish the inside. I may have located a donor ski for engine and electrics but it is not for sure yet :banghead:. i still havent decided on how to mod the hood but was thinking of making one out of carbon kevlar if I can find the material and get the cash, any ideas/ suggestions?

Gettin' There

I finished glassing around the one-way drain, and have started to work on the hood and nose (shaving and smoothing):Banane01:

I have also started to tear into the original motor which I am planing to rebuild and put in the 650SX:woot: so i have a fresh motor this season:Banane01:

How do I know weather I need to bore the cyl or just hone them(they arent scored)

To do it accurately you will need a "T Guage" . I would check it in three different spots from top to bottom, and turn the T guage 90 degree at each spot. Make sure the T guage is as level as possible. This will asure a round cylinder. If piston clearence is acceptable you can run it at the bore size it is. I would buy a set of brand new pistons wether you run the bore how it is, or if you have the cylinder bored!

Note: I am not a engine builder...... just trying to help.

Nice work so far!

I'm trying to get my freind to sell me his 93 750SSXI so I will have the twin carb 750 small pin:woot: Then I may bore it out but I am going to get a girdled head from Atlantic Jetsports (has anyone ever heard any thing about the head they make, it has removable domes and is much less than the others.) I also want to find someone who can port it for freestyle and wont charge me a fortune.

Why didn't you get rid of the hump in the middle of the hood? I've been toying with shaving that off of my hood.
