Just ticks me off that Rob and Bobbi worked so hard for years on that site only for SBT to come along and buy the site. They just wanted it for their own advertising.

oh come on. no they didnt. darin and the other admins did all the work. they did nothing but collect from the site sponsors, and then later, whined about how much parenting burdened their lifestyle. oh yeah, did i mention all the free stuff they got from ski manufacturers? they did start a great message board though.

louie, email me that pic if you can.

Good deal! Any trouble with the bolts pulling out? I think I am going to put inserts in the hull and just bolt the otherside through the bond rail. Still unsure of what type of epoxy to use and wether or not to use one or two inserts. I don't want to weaken the hull there too much. My idea was to drill he hole for the insert then hog out the foam underneath the fiberglass to give ample room for epoxy. Basically I want a big chunk of epoxy under the tray all around the insert. That way there is some extra insurance the insert won't pull out.

hey dave,

let me know what you come up with and where you got your dakine foot straps. i've been searching ebay and had no luck. i can do the 180 stab without them now but i think with a little more help with the straps it would look like i know what i'm doing.

I got mine at a windsurfing store online. Went on nextag.com to find them.

Groaty,

Now click windsurf, then click FootStraps, then click View Series. I originally purchased Pro Forms. They are around 15 bucks each. The place sent Supremo's though. The cost for them was 19 a piece. There isn't any difference other than the Supremo's have a little metal washer that comes with them.

So instead buy the Pro Forms. But then buy 4 sets of the twist control system. It is a crock you have to buy four of them! Each set comes with one single control thing and one double control thing. So you need four singles or four doubles depending on how you mount them. Look at the pics in the link, you will see what I mean. The twist control things have that metal washer bonded to them. If you look at my photo bucket, you can see all the pics.

Now as for buying the straps.... You cannot order them from Dakine's website. They have a link on there to other companies that sell them. I believe I ordered mine from Pacific Wave. I don't see it listed but that is who charged my credit card.

For the inserts, I believe Hot Products or Parts Unlimited carry them. I bought mine several years ago.

I originally bought some Vario's. Don't buy any foot straps other than the Pro Forms or Supremo's! The Varios had a bit of an angle where they mounted. This made them impossible to mount them on an X2. Also they are way too wide for an X2. I asked Yamaslut what hed used in his Square Nose and he said Pro Forms. I also had him look at the Shinn Racing website which shows a set of Dakines on a stock X2. He said that those were the Pro Forms. So... that is what I bought. I have test fitted these a million times now..... I think that they will work good but I need to get saome damn epoxy that will work on my hull.... No one knows where or what to buy... This Sucks! If I go another day without knowing I will probably just go to AutoZone and get some of that two part epoxy that is in a syrgine.

Good Luck
