My super jet is cutting out after 1/4 throttle?

I'm not sure why my 1991 superjet is cutting out after 1/4 throttle and sops like it's getting to much fuel but my jetting has been the same for 2 months and was running perfect what else could it be and its starts and runs good out of water

remove your plug caps, tug on the wires, sound like broken plug wires. cut back, install plug caps or go to NAPA and pick up some new plug caps with new crimp ends.

Check Valve? Your Fuel tank should hold 3psi if this valve is blown it will cause issues like this. I would say cracked Pickup also (if it was Kawasaki) you have the metal pickups right?

Well if your run it even for the 15 seconds It should build some pressure. And when you unscrew the gas cap you should hear the release of pressure. If you don't than it is something you want to fix either way.

If its dieing out its not getting enough fuel.. if its cutting out its usually spark. if its loading up its too much fuel.. id check your fuel filter/fuel tank vent/internal filters in carbs

I recently had an exhaust leak that was noticeable past 1/4 throttle. The ski would always start and seemed to idle fine, and I did not notice any smoke running the ski with the hood off. The waterbox exit to hose connection was leaking.

How clean is your bilge? Exhaust leaks are easier to spot if your bilge is spotless.
