Whats about to happen here is am am going to designate one day a week to work on my stuff , this week it was Saturday , then as I get skis sold eventually it will be one or two days a week working on customers ski and the rest working on my stuff.

Every once in a while I go back to the shop to see if it is still there, it was so I decided to do some piddly a$$ work on it , Installed a set of Rhass engine mounts that I had and looked at the gas tank placement , I also fabbed up the fuel return or vent haven't decide which yet, my other fuel tank cracked at the top and while it is technically fixable , I don't trust it so I am using this one instead , it's 4 gallons and EPA CARB compliant , they are available from Flambeau plastics or at least they ere when I bought this one..
The aluminum disc is 8mm X 50 mm and fit perfectly , but it took a month to get it , it already has a tapped hole so I drilled it out and tapped it for a 1/8" pipe fitting , I have to make a rubber gasket for the bottom of it, a Polaris SL750 drop tube retainer fits these tanks ( the blue anodized part in the pic ) but you need that 8mm thickness for it to tighten down against the tank.
More Fiberglass cloth comes in this week and I will finish up the rough bodywork and the gunwale on the 300SX then.

I tracked down some missing pieces out of a VXR Pro I got a few years back when I did a motor swap on a customers SN Superjet , VXR's us quite a few Superjet parts, midshaft housings , pump housings, battery boxes and a lot of other stuff , the VXR shaft is longer but I have a SN driveshaft here to swap out.
I installed the Weeks Brothers alignment tool and did a preliminary shimming on the pump , it was way off needing a stack of shims on the back bolts , I need to do the dowel pin mod on my tool , mine was one of the first batch and didn't have the alignment dowels holes drilled into it making it not as accurate , also the pump shoe isn't back in the ski yet so it's all just mockup but I have it really close.
Anyway VXR's are like abox of chocolates , you never know what you are going to get , hiding under this one was a R&D toploader so I will be using that as well , the ProteC open grate can go on the VXR.
I had to come inside to escape the mosquitos , they were eating me for supper.
