Hey guys, this is my first thread im pretty new to the site and standups in general. just bought my first one at the beginning of the summer. Already rebuilding it and hopefully cleanin it up better and making it run nice again. Maybe throw in a few more mods but like i said im new to standups so we'll see.
For starters the engine got water in it this summer. The exhaust outlet hose came off of the outlet...basically leaving a big hole in the side of the ski...
Got most of the water out on the beach at least the most I could at the time. Pulled spark plugs and pumped water out the plug holes. once i got it home i pulled the engine and drained the rest of the water out and tore the engine apart so it would hopefully not rust. found that the pistons were scored pretty bad but the cylinder walls were still good. ordered a top end kit right away. the ebox was really corroded so got one off the site thanks to surfjunkie! along with flywheel stator and on/off switch that has a killswitch on it.
dont have a whole lot planned for it besides rebuilding the engine and cleaning everything up good. gonna attempt to do some minor glasswork but never done any before so we'll see how that goes. going to repaint it too when im done with everything else. just trying to make a good starter ski thats reliable so i can get into the sport so ya I know I shouldve bought a superjet but the only issue is $$$.
