My New Ride - all carbon Cannondale

Here is my new road bike. It is a full carbon cannondale road bike with sram components. This thing is awesome. Gotta give a big thanks to Tim Judge for setting me up with a great dealer - Bike World. Been riding like crazy these last few weeks. Legs should be ready to rock in the spring, that is for sure.

average weight around 18 lbs +/- My Road Bike was right at 19 lbs. Sold it a year ago since I did not ride it. It was Carbon with Alum lugs, so a tad heavier than full carbon.

could not tell which model that was, Searched. I was looking that that same model 3 years ago in Alum. Great bike, actually the only Cannondale I have ever looked at, not a C-Dale fan!! The style of that is more laid back for longer rides and comfortabe rides. Drop the stem down and it gets you back into the geometry range of a race bike.

Good luck and keep your head on a swivel. Now if you decide to get into MTB'ing, give me a shout!!!!!!!

I mountain bike, too. Just have a hard time getting buddies to ride much. Hate riding trails by myself. I have my eye on a nice FSR 29er Specialized, but until I get some buddies to ride with me, it is going to have to wait.

I know you guys are going to say I am crazy, but I am not a fan of clip ons, lol.

615 Freeriders are addicted to T1 madness.
Clip ons are no fun when adjusted impropperly I know that LOL, once ya get em right they are hard to beat.
I hate to say it but road bikers drive me NUTS, its like a death wish with people txting and emailing and driving to be on a road bike. I know you have the right of way and all but SH-T get the F off the narrow curvey roads where we have to follow your slow azz for 10 freakn miles before we can get around you. GRRRRRRRR I saw a guy in OB hit a car and get life flighted away 35 mins later. She turned into a parkinglot in front of him and he put a nice 1 foot x 2 foot 6 inch dent in her car with his head. Her fault but he was riding on a busy 4 lane devided hwy with lots of turn off points (there was a bike lane and he was in it). Sorry to dampen your new bike post bro. Road bikes are insane to me though.

All depends where you ride. There is nowhere around me I'd dare do any road biking, but more 'modern' cities can be laid out pretty well for it. I'll stick with CX for now. No clips for me either.

Uh, you got a great riding buddy at home dont you? Your Rottie!!!! I got use to riding alone or with my dog 14 years ago. It was not until 3 years ago that I started riding in groups, it does make it fun, but at times, the group can get to large or distracting depending on the group, some of the guys spend more time talking than riding. Alot of times a few of us will just go on when the others start yapping. But, over the past few months, I am back to riding alone again. Every once in a while will hook up with a riding buddy and ride together or with 2 others from our old group, but he gets to the trails usually about 40 minutes after I do. I sometimes like the piece and quit of riding alone.

Epic 29er I assume? I have a buddy that rides one, very nice ride. He goes over this one 3' logpile stepup that is on an uphill like it's nothing with that bike.

This is the new m5 framed Camber. Same basic frame as the stump jumper with a little less suspension travel. I wanted a stumpy, but once I checked them both out, this was such an easier option on my wife's wallet, lol. She got me this as a combo 40th birthday/15 year anniversary gift. She's a keeper.

I rode it for the first time tonight. I was a bit leery of the 29er as I have only owned hard tail 26ers in the past. And, not going to lie, it felt different at first. But, once I did the first hard climb, I realized why the 29ers are selling so good now. I am very pleased so far.

Up. I was against 29ers for a long time. With reason, the early ones were slow in handling, etc.... But they got them dialed in now. I swap between my Titus FS 26er and my GF Rig 29er SS now. I actually prefer the 29er now more.

The more I ride it the more I like it. I was hesitant to get a 29er, like I said earlier, just rode 26ers all my life. But, it is definitely the direction the sport is going, and after riding a couple of times, I see why.

Ding Ding Ding Ding..... :)

Just kidding. Yes, I got the bike fitted. I love the road bike, but to be honest, now that school is back in session (i live less than a mile from a high school and middle school) I am almost afraid to ride in the afternoons anymore. Since I got my 29er, the road bike has only been out on the road once. lol

Anyone want to buy a really nice road bike that literally has less than a 100 miles on it? :)
