Thanks for all the suggestions!
I still havent decided yet, but I did have one of those rotary switches from Riva that I used for a bilge switch and it lasted like 4 years and was very please with it compared to every other bilge switch I've tried in the past.

mines running mcmastercar military switch like 30.00 and i dont see to many people breaking these.

Got a link by chance 2nd nature?

yep thanks i got them. I had some trouble finding it n i got some help. Although according to the recommendation chart, i should be running a 2/1000 retard rate module ( 3/100 is there now) would i be ok running it like that?

You set your timing with the led that's on the brain (and rotate the stator plate to change it). Make sure to doublecheck with a timing light with the engine running.

Another question for the guru's:

Last night about dusk I was blowing the water out out of the exhaust and after I shut it off I saw the LED flashing on and off. Is this normal?
I have the LED on the bottom and never started it at night to see if it does it all the time. If so, what is the purpose?

Does it run?

If the answer is yes, don't worry about it.
I think the LED runs all the time.

Specifications

Output Voltage:30 KV

Primary Resistance:0.2 Ohms

Turn Ratio:70:1

Secondary Resistance:Less than 2000 Ohms

These specs are for the single black digital coils (pn42921)

Thanks for the info Tricky! Well appreciated.

Can someone explain what the "Turn Ratio:70:1" means?

Means that (Secondary turns)/(Primary Turns) = 70
In other words, the secondary side has 70 times more windings than the primary side.
Also mean that the voltage gets stepped up 70 times. So the voltage coming from the brain is approx. 429 volts
