This X2 is as exotic as just about anything they have in Japan.

Did you have to distort the tank for that pipe? I have been meaning to try that chamber.

no distortion on the tank needed. It actually wobbles aroudna little bit under there without the oil tank. but i did weld a 1.5" extention on the back of the chamber to move it up and clear the exhaust manifold properly. This is where the chamber meets the headpipe.

Will I have to add that 1.5 in extension on the coupler end to clear the manifold? I have a yamaha and kawi headpipe so mabe one will have more clearance with the different height at the manifold/headpipe gasket.

Is that a kawi or yamaha headpipe you have on it?

I am using a yamaha headpipe. The kawi will proably make things worse as it raises the height of everything by 3/4"

It fit without the extension but not well. It was touching the manifold, and it had to be rotated in a specific position. There is no space to play at all. Adding the 1.5" let me rotate it to where it fit right in regards to touching the hull and to get it pointed where i needed for my waterbox. It also moved it away fro the manifold so i have a 1/4" or so of space between them.

I have no way to tell if there was any power difference with or without the extention, i never tried it before i added it on.

On a Factory Pipe Products head pipe, it has a three bolt design just like a stock Kawasaki 650. They make a manifold that has this same bolt pattern for a Yamaha so that it all bolts up the same. The head pipe they make fits like 75% of the pipes they make as long as you use the right exhaust manifold.
