Blaster My first blaster build

Hey there guys, name's Andrey. I bought this 93 blaster this past August and after riding it a little last summer I decided to tear it down and give it a nice make over. I took it apart during the winter and started doing some sanding so that I can have it repainted properly (the previous owner said the owner before him painted it with crappy rattle can paint that started falling apart). Once it looks nice I know I'll want it to perform just as nicely so I purchased a Coffman pipe and high compression Riva Head (has 31cc domes that I'm sure I'll need to change to 35cc if I'm running 91 octane). Does anyone have any experience with this particular pipe? I've read that they tend to be a big, heavy pita that rattles apart. What can I do to avoid that? I'll be using the ski to speed around Lake Erie and plan on doing a whole lot of wave hopping with it. I'd like to get a hooker impeller and 12 vane pump. Would those be worthwhile for my kind of riding? I'm looking to get more power throughout the whole range. I've done a good bit of research on this site and was looking for some personal input from you guys. What important mods am I missing if any?

So I finally got it all painted up this past weekend. Turned out pretty decent for an outdoor paint job. Needs some decals over some rough spots and turf laid down and wrapped around the gunnel. Just waiting on a few more parts and she'll be ready to rip.

I sprayed using 2 part auto paint and a decent paint gun. I sanded up the hull first, cleaned it, sprayed bulldog adhesion promoter, then a few base color coats, then about 5 coats of clear. I used the Nason brand paint and clear coat. I've never painted with a gun before and I'm pretty happy with the results. It was quite the learning experience.

Blueprinted the pump, removed siphon and plugged both siphon hole and pisser hole in the reduction nozzle. Also tapped for dual cooling.

Are you planning on doing anything to the old rubber bumpers to freshen them up? If you are do you know of a good process or what are your plans?

I have no plans for those bumper pieces currently. I'm just going to run them in their not so perfect condition. I want to get the ski together and running then I may go back and clean up the smaller details.

So I finished the thing up over this past weekend and took it out for a test ride on Sunday in some 4 to 6 foot Lake Erie waves. It held up pretty well. Hood seal leaks a little and I have some low end bog (I think due to running rich, 125 pilot going to 120 and buying a AM flame arrestor). Still have to do something about the hideous stock seat cover (might try vinyl painting it black).

Finalized ports. My cylinders are pretty ugly and could probably use a bore but compression was 145 in both holes before I took the motor apart so I'm holding off on that.

Bought a nice ocean pro flame arrestor from eBay without an adapter for the 44 sbn so I cooked one up. That and a 120 pilot jet has this thing running real nice.
