I'm still working on this obviously but here's what I've got so far.

The beginning...

Appliance epoxy was used in the engine bay.

I got rid of the pink and purple before riding it initially. I had painting it completely black and it looked pretty good IMO but the old gel coat was flaking off on the bottom and it started to look horrible really fast. Not to mention what the underside looked like after beaching the ski the first time...It was time to get rid of gel coat and put white back on the bottom. Hopefully this will hold up a lot better, I've certainly put about 10 times the hours into it than I expected.

the appliance paint WILL hold up in the engine bay UNLESS you spill fuel in there and let it sit.

much of mine peeled up, after a massive ( gallon or more) fuel spill inside..

I didnt prep the inside of the hull at all though either.

paint scheme looks good, especially for rattle can.

I basically saw a bunch of ski's that looked really awesome and toned it down enough so I could mask it off and paint without needing the airbrush skill. Hopefully it will hold up.

I plan to returf the tray, sides, and chin pad area next. I'm thinking dark gray.

Now you need to give that thing some low-end BRAP!

A fuel pump that works right has helped out tremendously! The next step in power delivery is to get rid of the ridiculous 15-20 pitch prop in there now and install a 12-17 swirl prop.
