I was dating a girl who wanted to get scuba certified so she could dive with me, so I agreed to take the class with her since it was cheap and she didn't want to go by herself.

There were five people there that had no business being in the water much less diving. And guess what, the shop certified them all. Of course, once they're certified, then they buy equipment. Hmmmm....

I used to wonder why a few people die each year diving in Lake Travis. After that class, I knew. Back when I was initially certified, in 86, we had one person who shouldn't have been certified, and they didn't pass her. I wonder which was the exception?

kinda like the jet ski rental place certifiing a person to ride... they answer all the questions for you... like they will fail ya and not rent their skis... he he he

He has no business riding that ski. I imagine if he couldn't get on it, he had no experience on a ski. I'm sure a few frosty beverages we involved in the making of the video.

It's all about the buck.

I'm most upset that they are putting me at risk by giving morons a loaded gun (400+ pounds moving at over 50 mph with essentially no breaks) on the lake.

I know of one death in the last year at Ponce Inlet...
dude landed flat busted his head and knocked out....
ended up drowning...
