Well it was Sunday August 3rd. I was out ridin in the back bays with my friends screwin around and what not. Doin some flatwater rolls, marsh slides and stuff. So I was going back to this spot we ride at we call the lake, but it's just an open bay far in the back bays of sea isle. As I was leaving the channel there was this mastercraft plowin and I couldnt resist so I was about an 1/8 mile away so I went speeding towards it and i went in to do a roll of their wake, which I had been doing plate to plate no problem for a while now, and when I got there i went into the wake but i was going so fast from getting there probably doing about 25mph which is WAY fast for a roll and I did a prejump in and when I threw it around for a roll I had so much momentum that i was thrown out of the tray. So I was in the air parallel to the ski facing the back of it, and we were both sideways compared to the direction i was going. Well the ski hit the water and stopped dead and i hit the side of my ski and ended up hittin my right forearm over the right gunnell of the ski.
It happened soooo fast i didnt even have time to think, next thing i knew i was floating in the water and i thought i just had a burner at first cause my arm felt like it does when you just hit something hard. Floated there for a minute didnt get any better so i looked down and i had a bulge out of my forearm. I was still able to move everything so i rode home and had someone pull my ski up on the dock.
I ended up breaking my ulna completely and more than 60% dislocated the bone and partially dislocated my elbow. Had surgery 5 days later plate and 6 screws. Don't have original x-ray, but have post-surgery. I had it casted for the week prior to surgery, then soft cast for 10days after surgery, then removable cast which i hardly wore.
I missed all of August, Spetember, and some October riden...the best time of year!!! Cannot wait for daytona. I been riden my motocross bike lately and it feels fine so i'll be good on my ski
