My 2 day Rattlecan-Blaster project

So I got tired of looking at my flat-primered Blaster that I picked up a month or so ago.

Then I drove down to my local Lowes and picked up some cans of Rust-Oleum appliance paint, some clear and the High Performance Enamel Aluminum.

It didn't turn out too bad for my first time painting a ski.

I'll include some more pics as I put everything back together.

These pics are of the sanding and factory sticker removals.

More pics of project....

Here are more from last night and today... I also included a pic showing all the tools I used in this 2 day repain process. Most of which everyone already has in their garage.

It is no show paint job by any means.. But it does look a whole lot better than before.

I just have to paint the bottom of the seat now.. And get myself a seat cover to hide the ugly yellow factory seat cover. Reed (WaHoo)!!! Where are you....

Thanks man.. I just have to find a pipe now. I cant run the Triton head with a stock pipe. There isnt enough clearance between the head and the pipe..

Damn it!!!!! So keep your eyes open for a pipe. I was to late on getting Mile9c1's pipe.
go after one of the protech pipes. they make good power and arn't as expesive as a b pipe.

stay away from the riva red pipe!

Dude, looks damn good. I'm doing the reinforcement on mine now and then will be prepping for paint. Wasn't going the rattle can route but if it came out looking that good, I'd consider it. :arms:

It's cheap and quick.... Just gotta watch out when you clear around the under lip of the lower hull. It likes to run on you a bit.

Oh, that whole ski is long gone BECAUSE of that pipe! Got tired of it. Couldn't tune it! all low end / all top end or nothing. I do have a ProTec now (Dion's old ski) and love it.

Ski looks great Dee - ill be over tomorrow to fix that crooked UMI crossbar for ya
