my 1st jet ski injury, 6 stitches and a banged up knee

so i ate ******** bad for the 1st time out on the delta on sunday. I hit a big wake from a yacht, looked like 5-6 ft. high at least. I don't know wut happened but I guess I lost footing and in the air i tried to push myself away from the ski but still landed on the ski.


I land and felt a sharp pain in my knee, thought i just bruised and banged it. my ski is about 20 feet to the left, and i'm holding my knee and feel my finger dip into a crevice, lift my leg up ands ee a huge gash, took a chunk out between my shin and knee, could see the bone.


My 1st time ever having to go to the e.r. get stitches, etc...


sux too cuz i can't go workout, do squats, nothing, all cuz of my knee.

Ow! Knees are always bad because there is no good way to stabilize them.

I guess that is testimony to the fact that if you have to bail, try to hold on! That sucks, man. I haven't had to bail really bad yet, I hate getting stitches. Most of my injuries occur when I am at the ramp and cut my feet on oyster beds. Grrrrrr!

yeah the pain sux, luckily i'm on some vicodin to help numb me up. i stayed home from work all day yesterday i was going crazy, came into work and i've closed 2 deals already. it feels good to be back at work

That's actually a damn good looking stitch job. The doc that did that takes pride in his work.

ya i asked him, he said i have 5 internal stitches, and 1 external one. went to the gym tonight, felt damn good to relieve some stress

That is a huge gash I try not to bail at all. I bailed once off of a huge house boat wake. I felt the ski rub my back and head as I slid into that water beside it. Since then I have never bailed. I figure if I slam into the ski while I am holding on to it at least we are traveling the same speed instead of the ski stopping in the water while I am gaining speed on the way down.
