Multi-Colored Engine?

Does anyone have any colors of a multi-colored engine? I have my engine primmed and I know what colors my ski will be and Im thinking of doing a multi-colored engine. Like the flywheel one color, cases\cylinder the same, different head, bpipe mani one color, chamber another.
my jetski theme: gulf colors\style.

I'm amazed I haven't taken many pictures of my engine. I kept the cylinders and the case the same but painted the exhaust manifold and then polished a girdled head and left the sides red. Here are the best pictures I have. I would take more pictures but the paint doesn't look as good anymore and I don't feel like cleaning it up nice and pretty.

head: orange
flywheel cover: orange
b pipe mani\head pipe: orange
b pipe chamber: baby blue

I just have to order paint from somewhere that will hold up. any recommendations on engine paint?

Everything painted on my engine components was high temp spray paint from any auto store. The red on the head and carb adapter were anodized from the factory though...

Just make sure you clean everything extremely well, chip off any peeling paint, scuff sand everything up, and clean and scrub once more.

Ive already primed it and have done all that beforehand to promote good adhesion. I just have to see if they have the colors I want in engine temp rated paint.

I personally would highly recommend you get the stuff powdercoated.

However, paint will work. Just make sure to not get gas on it.

I have been staring at my motor sitting there in parts lately, highly considering sending it all to my powder guy...that along with my Bpipe, ride plate and intake grate.

I want to say the advance auto parts store I bought mine from had a ton of engine paint colors. Here are all the colors duplicolors sells in engine paint...it's a lot. http://www.duplicolor.com/products/engine.html

that duplicolor paint is some good stuff. ive painted dozens of engines (car, boat and ski) with it and it hold up great. way cheaper then powercoat and easy to touch up. a little clear coat makes it even nicer looking. i did my engine, pipe and some other misc parts for about 22 bucks including clear. looks awsome.

I've had my duplicolor engine enamel stand up to plenty of fuel, exhaust from blown gaskets and couplers, and just about everything else. I was cleaning the grease and grime off it with regular soap and water and it was working well but I got impatient and decided that the purple power stuff would work better. The purple power dulled the paint real bad. Oh well...

Roo, not arguing that powder coating is much better and your engine really does look awesome but I spent $5-$10 painting my engine and you spent $330. One thing I did learn was that after 3-4 rides when it's covered in grease, grime, soot, and water spots, it all looks dull and nasty anyway.

For reference, right before Daytona I painted my engine bay with a super slick/high gloss white like in the picture I posted earlier. This picture was taken after 6-7 gallons at Daytona with a freshwater rinse at the end of both days and maybe 1 gallon on the lake when I got back. So 8 gallons later and here is what my engine bay looked like. Pretty sweet huh...

i hear ya... i did the paint thing for a couple years to. after you take into consideration the time to clean/prep/degrease and actually paint, that is a good amount of time if doing a few pieces. now a days, my time is worth more to me.

i rather drop the parts off in "as-is" condition, and pick 'em up looking
