Custom/Hybrid MSD no spark :(

I rode my Footrocket today for the second time and everything was going great until about 20 minutes into it. I was just cruising on a plane and it shut off like I hit the kill switch and wouldn't start again. I determined there's no spark, so I pulled the Ebox and checked all my grounds and they all seem good, I have power to the brain too. This is a brand new total loss system, has about 30 minutes of ride time on it. Where do I start?

Disconnect the triggers and short each of them at the brain plug. You should get spark. If you do, your triggers are bad (very unlikely, especially for both of them)
If you don't, it could be the coils (again, extremely unlikely unless a common ground is bad) or more likely, the brain.

If you get spark like that, your coils and brain are fine.
Something is up with the triggers. They may be shimmed improperly or perhaps the wiring got shredded by something in the flywheel area.

Took off the flywheel cover and I see metal shavings in there= not a good sign. IMG_0429_zps2dbbaf3d.jpg
I need to go buy a flywheel puller now. Should I position the flywheel at any specific point before I pull it to make it easier on myself? Or just pull it and make sure I reinstall it the exact same?

Just pull it. The Woodruff key on the crank snout takes care of alignment.
I'd say wires from the pickups got shredded. Probably a bendix problem.

The metal chunks indicate something came apart, and after it was running fine already. I think the clearance was fine.

Haven't pulled it yet, but the metal filings are definitely magnetized so it looks like it's just the magnet. Where do I go about finding a new magnet?

It was the magnet, there are only remnants of it left and everything else is good. Tricky is sending me a new magnet. Thanks for the help Matt and everyone else.

Make sure your bendix is cleaned out, when it happened to Chris the bits of magnet jammed up his bendix and it failed 5 minutes after we got it back on the water

I would file those damaged teeth as best u can and soak that bendix real well in some oil...go over it real well and save it as a backup.
