MSD 42351 pro digital setup help

A little bit lost trying to setup my MSD total loss. I going with 30* of static timing and I want to be at 12* of timing by 7500. I can get that far no problem. I run into an issue when I need to slow down the rate of retard. I would like to be at 10* when I rev limit at 8800 RPM. As far as I can tell, this doesn't even seem possible. I spoke to Steve Webster at Kommander and he gave me these numbers for my setup so I assume I'm just lost in the poorly written instructions.

Yes your correct, that's not possible. If you want to be at 10 at 8800 you can set that up, but you can't also chose to be at 12 at 7500, no option for that. The curve is computer generated between the rpm points start retard/rev limit. Their was a timing calculator that might help you but again you cant chose both. Msd tech support might be able to tell you your timing at 7500 when 10 deg at 8800 is chosen.

Edit: Gonna read the instruction 9 more times to verify Iam not misinforming

Re-read and it's not possible....

With the draw your own curve graph in the back of the instructions you could plot your 10@ 8800 and read where your timing would be the 7500 point. Tech support told me the computer generated curve switch points are exactly like pictured in book, (0 to 1500 rpm area) advance switches on and begins at 1k and switches again at 1500 rpm at full advance, all curve lines are straight lines plotted between rpm points. I guess you'd make and read these graphs to calculate how much retard you'd need to be at 12 @ 7500

I really think the calculator would help, the previouse link was deleted, maybe someone has a new one or a call to Msd
