Duh, I should have know that. :dunce:

After I painted my engine compartment it looked that good for the first few rides. Enjoy it while you can.

what got your engine compartment dirty?

Ill pull it again this winter, ive got a ported larger bore engine to go in.

this is just thrown together for this summer.

Ill paint it again if it gets dirty.

dang man.

I CARE about my boat, I get in there after every ride with a toothbrush, and some baking soda, and REALLY scrub it well.

no im kidding, I did put some dishsoap in there yesterday, and the hose, and let the bilges run for a while, my needle/seat was leaking, and on a 200 mile road trip filled the cases with fuel. tried to crank, hydrolocked.

removed plugs, spewed FUEL everyone, all on my, in my eyes, hair, clothes, all over the boat.
it was a mess.

It almost put my cigerrette out!

( thats a joke)

I have to say though, its alot more enjoyable to workon a boat thats clean inside, I need to route some stuff better, and organize it inside better, they made fun of me this weekend for my over zealous use of zip ties.

when you did the conversion for the RN pole were you able to use the stock SN steering cable or have to replace with a RN cable.

I quess what i need to knwo is...are the steerign cables the same or different between a SN and RN??

I used the stock square nose cable, as well as the swuare nose turn plate, and the cable was buit too long, and I didnt route it correctly, it needs to go around thewater box... oops.

I also shortened that pole 3.5 inches, so the cable has some slack INSIDE the hull.

it all hooks up and works though, no problem.

Allright! Thanks for the update! Like I said, the ride looks great. Can't wait to see it in action. Some time this summer we'll be coming to Beaver Lake. Just not sure when.
