I was looking for a strong, simple and clean solutiuon to anchoring my limiting strap to my tray. I wanted something that wouldn't break, rust or punch a hole in me if I collided with it. :) I found these at my local West Marine Dealer for under $5.

They are Cam Cleat Caps made by Harken Item # 424 on the first document

Lightweight, fiber-reinforced flairleads
feature stainless wearguards for long
life and are available in various colors
for color-coding your cams

If that doesn't look strong enough for you, check out some other stainless options on the second page.

very cool I was looking for something like that.

Did you just drill that right in with a self tapping screw too? I'd be worried about puncturing the e-box.

#1) The e-box is spaced off the bulkhead enough but this is mounted above the box anyway,

#2) I used Stainless Machine screws with washers and nylocks on the backside.

tapping screws....:twak:

I have used that for a while just make sure you get the one with stainless insert
I haver broken the pure plastic ones

By insert do you mean the stainless wire on the backside meant as a wearguard or is there one with a more rugged stainless insert?
