Hard to telll by the pictures if it the Engine is higher than the midshaft. If you have oblonged the motor mounts and pushed them as far as your comfortable with, I've heard of guys sanding down the underside of GP800 mounts to get them to work in SJ's. That may be your best bet

Good luck

everybody wants to use couch mounts even if they aren't the right mounts. sometimes you can get away with it and sometimes you cant. some couch mounts have bigger mounting holes than others. if i'm going to hack mounts in there, I use or drill big holes. I've seen the bed plate holes opened up also.

Elongate the mounting holes on your couch mounts toward the inside, which allows you to move them farther to the outside of hull and drop motor until height is correct.

Well if you want to do it right you need to find the problem. Being a stock hull and Eng there something wrong causing it.
Wrong mounts or is the whole pump and shoe installed at the wrong angle??
When you slot thevmotor mounts to move them out you have to make sure you don't end up with mounts being at the wrong angle.
Mounts have to keep the top side square to bed plates.
I'm not a fan of over size bolt holes so if my mounting angles are all square I remove .015 from the bed plates so there nice square mating surface to motor mounts.
The motor will drop more then double what you take off the bed plates as it's wedge.
Anyone with a mill should be able to machine the plates.
If the angle isn't perfect machine plates so it will be and you won't have stressed mounts and you will run smoother and mounts last longer

i tried to shim again today, the only way i can get it to be completely straight is if i had 5 shims on the front exhaust side mount. It was 2 thick shims and 3 very thin ones, not sure the exact mm. No other shims on the other motor mounts. I think the motor isnt taller but rather more to one side than the other. Not sure if you guys can understand but let me know if running that amount of shims is bad.
