To start I am having a big motor built after being frugal all summer and gathering parts as they came up reasonably cheap and finally nearing the end. My question is do motors really loose that much value. I did a quick search in the parts section and found numerious stroker motors that were in the 1000-2000 range that had sold over the last few years, that were 750-800cc. I guess it would make a difference if it was like mine and a bb sleeved motor and the starting ccs of mine if I had a 4mm stroker crank. It would also have to do with who built it and what parts are used. Is it because strokers wear out quicker then normal 701 motors or bb motors, or is there not much of a demand for for a 700-800cc stroker motor? Why would anyone build a 750-800cc stroker for 2k 3k 4k when one could be had for 1000-2000 if they keep an eye on the board? Mine is going to be a complete 2nd motor, I have not striped any parts off my motor to make it happen.
