one pic of how I fixed the base gaskit and another of my ski put back together for the most part!!

used yamabond liquid gasket and stuffed as much as I could into the part where it was leaking. I was affraid that the pressure would blow that stuff right out so I jammed a bunch of gasket material in there also with more yamabond gasket!!

When I hand tighten the bolts I can moves the motor around left/right - back/forward. the motor mount is flat and slippery and where the bed plate mounts up is flat also. 12 ft lbs isnt alot of torque, is it???

when I torque all the bolts down too 12 ft. lbs I cant move it by hand but I am worried that if I lauch off of a wave and land sideways, a jolt like that could cause it too shift/slide with only 12 ft. lbs of torque holding two smooth surfaces together??

I am not trying to push back on the topic or anything, I just dont think people know what I am trying to say??

I am using 2 shims and all bolt have washers!

Keep in mind that motor is allowed to move around. Except that it moves on the rubber portion of the mounts.
Those will move before it slides on the metal-to-metal contact. I don't think you have anything to worry about.
