Blaster Motor died.

Of coarse the day before Independence Day the new motor I was breaking in shut off on me in the middle of the lake. When I go to start it, I hear a "clunk" then nothing. Battery is fully charged and everything looks perfect. Any advice?

If it was running and then just stopped it has nothing to do with the starter. Sounds like it might have been a seizure. Do not attempt anymore "cranking" until you remove the head for inspection.

What exactly were you doing while breaking it in and when it shut down? Does sound like a seizure like wander said.

the second i got it home, i would have been ripping and tearing it apart to diagnose what happened. i wouldnt be able to sleep until i got to the bottom of it. asking vague questions like this will only get you 1000 possible and probably wrong answers. start with a simple process of elimination. grab the coupler and see if it turns over by hand. if it does, then its not froze up. if it cranks over do a compression test. if it dont crank over, determine if its a battery cable, starter solenoid , starter , bendix or the flywheel fell off.
