Some pictures of Phill trying out my drysuit. On my ski.
Air was 45 or so and water was 45. Comfortable in the drysuit, other than heads & fingers. I need to route some handwarmers.

This is me....a roll attempt with not enough enthusiasm. I'm about a half an inch away from eating 45 degree water.

We went the past 2 days in 45 degree water about 50 degree air .I wore a 3/4 wetsuit and boots, gloves and helmet to keep the noggin warm and for protection obviously .
Both pete and myself run all the water (pissers) out of the handlebars and it works mint .In fact I need to restrict mine a bit to warm it up some more . Pete's handlebars squirt so much it lloks like a fountain
We only leave the headpipe line to go to the stinger and the rest goes to the handlebars and we run dual cooling .Try it Matt you'll love it

Finger warmers are great - I had them hooked up last year, it was nice. I've just been too lazy so far.

I went yesterday and thought the water was cold---73 air temps, not sure what the water temp was---it has been down in the forties at night for about a week and just started to warm back up to acceptable Florida temps yesterday. :cool2:

I think it's funny when I go to Florida and I'm wearing a bathing suit and life vest and all the locals are wearing 3/4 suits which is what I wear when dodging icebergs

Once you get used to it up here anything in FLA feels warm .In mid August the water gets to about 60 :cool2:

That's the funny thing---I went about a week and a half ago with just shorts and a rashguard, but the temps dropped quick in the Lake we went to. I haven't even checked the Gulf water temps lately which is where I rode last time. I hardly ever ride this lake anymore, but the Gulf has lacked any surf for us lately, so I figured I'd go out to the lake for a change of pace.

It was a good choice, as I ran into a family from Atlanta who own some investment property close by and they are planning on building a house in the Spring---looks like I'm their choice for a plumbing contractor.

I let one of the guys who was just returning from Iraq try my ski out---looks like I converted another coucher to a standup... :headbang:

 I concur. When I started riding in April this year (ski was down due to buildup), water temps were 50. I wore a 3/2 Full wetsuit for that.
Once water temps hit 64 degrees, I rode without a wetsuit.
I find I am comfortable enough above 65 degrees water to not need a wetsuit.

It DID hurt...it was the first time my head submerged that day.

And btw....swimming in a drysuit sucks. I need to actually wear my lanyard this time of year.
On one of those half-assed rolls (invert sub, really) the ski got away from me and resurfaced 15 feet away idling upside down. I swam over to it as fast as I could, against the wind. It still took waaaaay too long for comfort.

The drysuit I got in those pictures is a Slippery SubZero. It's a bit too big for me and a bit too small for Phill. Works good though.

I wear the life jacket on the outside. I think it might cut down on the baggyness of the suit.
