Wolf Child,
Thats my normal riding grounds out of Sterling State Park. I will be there this weekend, just not sure on times. I'm riding a black 04 SJ and usually hang out down near the big break wall.

I'll give a holler if I see a day glo 550, should be easy to spot.

well. I got in late Friday so no riding. I spent all day saturday and all day sunday on the water just out from the break wall at the channel I was the only stand up in a sea of couches and drunken idiots in boats. I couldnt beleive how FLAT the water was. Every time I've been to Lk MI there are at least some small rollers. but not at this place. it was like any other inland lake I've been on. pity. I DID like that I got a camp site right by the beach and could beach the ski to refuel, eat lunch or what ever.

I also learned a few valuable lessons about being prepared out there. Luckily I brought lots of tools and stuff cuz I popped my hood loose and swamped the boat trying to figure out how to do a nose stab. I guess that a common problem when dropping the boat on its side in the chop. But I got her dried out and all was good again.:woot:

I saw a guy on sunday at the landing pulling his couch out that saiod there was a black/blue Stand up at the "hot hole" doing some insane shiat. I never went that far down. Beeing a noob and solo. I just didnt think going that far from "home base" was a good Idea. Plus...something about playin in the exhaust vents of the nuke plant just doesnt sit well with me.:cool2:

Glad to hear you had a good time :Banane01: . I never made it to the water last weekend :frown: , I had a ton of projects that kept me around the house and there just weren't enough hours in the day.

The Hot Hole is just the other side of the smoke stacks you saw south of the camp ground. Litterally a 3 minuite ride, It is the Monroe power plant. The power plant you saw to the north is Fermi, the nuclear facility.

That part of Erie can be pretty flat, but when the south/east coast is getting hammered with hurricanes, storms often roll in from the east giving great waves.

yeah, it was cool. I really liked the park. The idle out wasnt TOO bad, but I've decided no wake zones on a stand up suck monkey nuts. and it doestn help when you have boat loads of non english speaking towel wearing idiot coming the other direction in the chanel throwing MONSTER waves and completely swamping you.:rocketwhore:
