Was talking to my friend today and he was saying theres a way to modify a stock 701 exhaust, but he does not remember. So i thought i would throw it out there and ask you guys if its ever been done?

Modify? If your referring to something to improve performance with than I wouldn't waste your time. About the only thing you can do is to dry it out a little by installing a water bypass fitting but that's a minimal improvement at best.

I remember Harry Klemm was doing engine work and still using the stock exhaust (kind of thought that would be impossible) but he must know a way

I remember several years ago some people having them extrude-honed. It was more common on the Kawasaki 750 though. Never heard much about how it performed.

Modify it by attaching it to the bottom of a 4 gallon trash can
