looks like a nice peice but it will rust. anything that is steel will rust on a ski even in fresh water. one little scratch and its all down hill from there. rust bleeding all over the pretty ski. the holes that the pole bolts too is going to get scratched up.
i have run many homemade peices on my skis for over a year and i ride 100% salt! Powder Coating is much stronger than any paint. I will agree that its GOING to eventually rust, but i'll ruin the fiberglass ski and pole a few times before the mount goes. If someone wants to pay a little more i will make brackets out of stainless steel (TIG weld too), but thats going to be the same price as most of the competitors in the end
