Im looking for one as closely designed to the one bellow, i'll have the pole soon thanks to Shonuff but i need a mod bracket. i dont want to use a stock one and reinforce to hope it doesnt flex, and i dont want to use washers and shims on my stock bracket. so if anyone makes them i would very much apreciate a picture of it and how much you can make one for.
I would also like the stock SN hood latches to work on this bracket like in that picture.

This is what my build is waiting on other than Footholds but ill have those very soon.
thank you!

the only conversion bracket mad was by legdrag i think. But he isnt making them anymore. There is nothing else out there unless you or have someone you know make one. I know not much help but someone had to say it. Im just using the stock sn bracket with spacers till winter or i break it then i will reinforce and install an x-metal one.

^^beat me too it just use a rn bracket and just redrill the holes...or retap an aftermarket rn bracket and put the studs where you need em...

The Wamiltons bracket works perfect, do not use a UMI or R&D they wont work. PM me if you want more details. I have done a few conversions with Wammer style brackets. They are also cheaper.

This limits the hieght you can raise pole, it is a bad IDEA IMO, I have used stocker RN brackets but milled them to propper angle 1st and then you have a reasonably week bracket.

you can trim the pole and remove the rubber pad and it comes up far enough.

You can also build up the mounting surface of the hull to level the RN bracket out, this is needed anyway to provide stregnth to the area.

lots of options to do it with a RN bracket.

if you can make it like that one in the picture beautiful and well done or decently similar with the hood brackets able to work for my stock hood mounts, Im all for it

go to your local material place 1/4 thick by 3in wide and i forget how long it was anyway i got a 3ft peice of that in 6061 and it was 13 bucks.take carboard and draw up your uprights and use them as templates take them to a local weld shop and have them weld it up dunno what they should charge when i did it i think i had 45mins total cutting welding and drilling them.you can make it so it bolts into existing holes and youll only have to move your hood hooks.

1/4" aluminum would probably not last too long :(
I can make em out of 1/4" steel and powder coat whatever color you want. (will not rust even in salt conditions)
Also I will not drill the base plate holes. That should be marked once its held up to your ski wit the pole on exactly where it needs to rest.

Also I have made some aluminum battery trays for the sealed cell (smaller) batteries and was curious if theres much interest in those.

If the steel bracket requires drilling after powder coat, how will it not rust?

1/4 aluminum is thick enough for the base part of it, but i wouldnt use it for the uprights unless you have are gusseting them quite a bit.

This is the bracket I made up if people need ideas, also custom hood hooks.

well i can drill holes and powder coat everything but then you must realize that you will have to put new holes in your ski. No big deal to most people but some do not want to do that. That is the only reason i said i wouldnt drill holes.
Here is waht i sent Mark44...hope it works for you
