Blaster Mod or limited b pipe?

What guidelines for the different chambers are there. I scored a couple of 96's and have two mod pipes and one limited to use. One engine will be an 850 BB stock stroke, the other just a ported 701. Should I put a mod on both? or Mod in BB and Limited in 701?

Mods work better in the mid to top and limiteds work better for bottom end hit. All depends on what type of riding as far as choices. There's a lot to figure in.. More info would help with the answers you're looking for.

I have a mod chamber on our b1 61x motor and love it, but would like a little more bottom end hit. It's just a rec ski though. ADA head and the pipe is all it has and is a very fun ski.

You can take an inch or so out of the middle of the limited chamber to get your RPM'S back up, it will have great bottom end and pick up some top end, alot like the Shorter Bpipe for superjets.

The mod chamber was made for higher RPM, You can port the exhaust manifold and do some trics to it as well however its more of an RPM pipe,

Ok very helpful! I guess that is consistent with the way superjets work. I like the look and fit of the Mod in the superjet put prefer the low end of the limited. Same with the blaster the mod pipes look cool but I guess don’t give the bottom end. Oh well, those limited’s just seam like such a mess of pipe and hose. Whatever I’ll just have to go to counseling and get over it. Thanks! These Blasters are kind of cool to work on cause the engine compartment is so big!

what about a limited blaster pipe for 61x cylinders race ported by riva? good combo or no? i guess i was wrong. i looked at the design of both pipes and figured that the side exit stinger wouldn't have good flow for high rpm. the limited pipe being straighter to seems if would flow better at high rpms

It doesnt matter which pipe and cylinder combo you have "IF" you can tune your pump. Low port/long pipe will have the lowest operating RPM and can tolerate steeper props. High port/short pipe combos need lower pump loading. BTW the stinger is designed to create a restriction to flow so that the pipe can do its job. If it was simply a matter of airflow every ski would have 3-4 inch exhaust hoses.
