Mismatching case halves???

As of now I have two sets of 61X cases. Both have broken bolts and the bottom half of one looks like it is about to blow through...

So my question is - Can I use the top of one and the bottom of the other to make one good set? Has anyone done this before? Pros? Cons? I know the cases are machined as a set but they seem to line up just fine... Thanx in advance-

you could get them line bored/hone if needed.
odds are it'll work as is although it's not recommended.

Well,I don't think I consider my self a CON! but here's my take...I always recommend matching cases for high performance engines and longevity on the crankshaft bearings.
I have known that some use them mis-matched. If you using a brand new crank...NO
If your just trying to get something running with a used crank for now, do a dry run assemble with no crank seals and torque up cases and crank and feel for any friction and binding, if not then go for it...
