Im going to mill my X-2 head and need to know how much to mill off. Im also going to shave off some of my flywheel and would like to know how much of it everyone thinks I should take off.

When I got my head milled for my 650 I think I did .020 off and that took my comp from 145/145 to 170/170. I also did a copper head gasket too.

you really should check your squish first, then calculate how much you can take off.
.010 off, typically equals about 8 to 10 lbs on the gauge.
usually, on a stock 650, you can safely take .015, to .020 off, and still run pump gas.
just a FYI, the stock 650 gasket is a thin, steel gasket. a copper one, would be thicker, and you would loose some compression.
